Jonathan Bloch is CEO of Exchange Data International Ltd., the premier provider of state-of-the-art back office solutions and securities data. EDI has a worldwide reputation for the high quality and accuracy of its international securities administration data which provides financial software and data to the back offices of the investment banking industry. EDI has won acclaim for the innovativeness of its business solutions; the company was one of the very first to make back office data available to customers via the Internet. In recent years, EDI has considerably expanded both its product range and its geographic coverage. Under Bloch’s leadership, the company today provides back office solutions and securities data to most of the major investment banks, brokerage houses, custodians and data vendors.
Prior to starting Exchange Data in 1994, Bloch had established an international track record in the service sector. In the 1980’s, he was Marketing Director for Latin American Newsletters, involved in campaigns to sell newsletters and data to the global financial community.
Subsequently Bloch joined International Business Communications (IBC). He was made President of their U.S. operation, acquiring and running the Donoghue Organization. Bloch initiated a program of consolidation and expansion, which turned a loss of $500 thousand into profits of $1.3 million. After another acquisition in 1990, Bloch became chairman of Fleet Street Publications and a main board director of IBC.
